High above Berlin's Grunewald, this luxurious private clinic perches atop Berlin's highest mountain, built from the rubble of houses destroyed in World War II. The four-story hospital villa served as an officers' mess for US Army intelligence officers until it was auctioned off by the current chief physician after the fall of the Wall, luxuriously modernized, and converted into a hospital for psychosomatic disorders.
