Of all places, Simon wants to meet his lawyer, Robert, in this dreary wasteland. Between a dilapidated tool shed and a brick barracks without windows and with a collapsed chimney, torn steel girders, rusted cable reels, and other industrial waste are piled up. Here, the young boy leads Robert up a soot-black wooden staircase into a cellar shaft – and there, a skeleton lies, exactly where Simon claims to have committed a murder fifteen years ago.
