The psychologist is considered one of the Berlin police's best undercover investigators. Five years ago, his wife Nadja and son Timmy disappeared without a trace on the luxury cruise ship Sultan of the Seas. He still cannot accept the court-confirmed version of extended suicide. Since then, he has been considered a ticking time bomb within police circles, seemingly no longer knowing fear. When he learns from an elderly lady that someone else has disappeared on the same ship, he boards to finally gain clarity about his family's fate – even though he swore he would never set foot on a cruise ship again.
