NOAH is here!

Four years ago I had the idea, three years ago I started researching – and today is the day: „Noah“ sees the light of the book world.

And I am, honestly, a bit nervous because „Noah“ is different. Don't worry, it hasn't become a poetry collection with my own drawings, but – how could it be otherwise – a thriller, of course. But this time it's one that has a theme that affects everyone on our planet, which is why „Noah,“ unlike my previous works, isn't set exclusively in Germany but all over the world.

Personally, I don't really get along with genre categorizations in the book market. But still, I find the assessment of a bookseller who read „Noah“ in advance to be very accurate when she says that „Noah“ begins like a „typical Fitzek,“ but then takes an unexpected turn, in which the psychological thriller transforms into a conspiracy thriller.

From then on, „Noah,“ in keeping with its serious theme, was rather not a book to be rushed through in a single night (which is why the thriller also received a ribbon marker from the publisher for the first time ;)). Moreover, it is a novel that will resonate long after reading.

Fortunately, most of the numerous bookseller reviews were positive, some even euphoric, and the press has also been enthusiastic so far. But I am sure that „Noah“ will also irritate and polarize; precisely because this thriller is different. And that's probably a good thing. Because I find boredom much worse than irritation.

As an author, I don't make a conscious decision about what book comes next. I don't look for ideas; they're in my head at some point. Most of the time, they haunt me in situations where I least expect them. And when an idea, like the one for „Noah,“ keeps knocking again and again, then I just have to realize it at some point, completely independent of whether it fits into a series or is expected of me.

„Noah“ is, as you will hopefully see for yourself, a very important, very personal book for me, and it will probably be difficult for me to write a comparable thriller again in my life.

If you're not sure if you want to read this „somewhat different“ Fitzek, it's best to first look at the sample reading on the book's page to.

There you will also find early reader reviews, press articles, bonus material, links, and further information about the book, which will be released simultaneously as an eBook and audiobook – narrated, as always, by the great Simon Jäger.
