New! Sebastian Fitzek (that's me too!) presents the first official thriller charts.
Bestselling thrillers in Germany, as determined by Media Control
As you surely know, Der Spiegel has its fiction and non-fiction bestseller lists. Other media outlets have official charts for young adult, business, and audiobooks. Yet, the most popular genre in Germany, the thriller, lacks an official bestseller list. This has always bothered me a bit, so I decided to change it 😉
Starting immediately, every Tuesday there will be an overview of the 15 best-selling thrillers and crime novels, in both hardcover and paperback formats, as determined by Media Control.
Until now, you could sort the shopping portal's bestseller lists on various online portals, but there was no overview of actual popularity across Germany. In addition, unlike other official bestseller lists, the thriller charts on my site are interactive. This means you have the opportunity to comment on the bestseller list. Similar to Twitter, you have 140 characters available for this.
As those who know me are aware, it has always been a great concern of mine not only to promote my own books. For example, for the third year now, I've been holding a reading where I recommend thrillers that are not from my own pen.
The thriller charts on my website are a consistent continuation of the idea to strengthen the booming genre, which, by the way, as a look at the thriller charts shows, is increasingly being shaped by German authors.
Also, have a look if you like. The first official thriller charts on my homepage ;)
