It all began in 2006 with a „therapy session.“ With an initial print run of 4,500 copies, no one probably expected me to land a bestseller, least of all myself. Today, I'm still allowed to write books. And I owe that to you (the reader) and the numerous booksellers who supported me from the very first second.
I still clearly remember my first performances, to which only five spectators showed up, four of whom were employees of the bookstore. A Fitzek reading was a losing business for organizers back then. And yet, I was invited.
I'd like to thank you for that – with a „Fitzek Unplugged Tour.“ In April/May, I'll be traveling through the country and reading in the bookstores that believed in me from the very beginning. Without a big tech show, but with plenty of time for your very personal questions.
Of course, I'll tell you again about the behaviorally challenged people in my immediate surroundings who inspire my psychological thrillers. And of course, I'll read from „The Sleepwalker.“ But most of all, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to talk with you.
