The darn gremlins in the first edition!
Some attentive readers will have noticed that the devil of typos crept into the first edition.
Even the most experienced editors now say that you can find something in almost every book? but this is still inexplicable. The point in question was missed by at least 20 beta readers and only appeared in the very last version that I sent to the publisher.
But why would I intentionally include a small mix-up in the last round? Did my subconscious change something without me noticing? In any case?
Fortunately, the small stumbling block has no impact on the plot whatsoever. Nevertheless, I want to apologize and offer the following compensation: Everyone who sends me an email with the subject line: „I noticed.“ and the reference to the relevant passage, will receive a (roughly) one-page mini-thriller from me via email, free of charge.
The submission deadline is October 1, 2009. Please send emails to: fitzek@sebastianfitzek.de
