Finally.
Yes, I know, I took a damn long time with the private reading drawing.
But I didn't expect so many entries either. After all, I had a book tour (and the occasional stop at the Teufelsberg Clinic 😉 but now it's time.
The winner has been determined.
Congratulations, or should I say my condolences?
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a rusty tub from which to pull the emails.
But for the psychopath who made the draw.
His name is Fruti. The model for the character of "Diesel" in "Amokspiel".
You don't want to see more than his arms.
Here you can read the drawn email:
Dear Mr. Fitzek,
Please don't be surprised by my rushed email to you. This is more due to my husband, who is sitting next to me as I write these lines, waiting for me to drink a glass of water. This probably won't interest you, but our entire medicine cabinet in pill form (dissolved, of course) is in that glass of water, and the knife to the left of my ribs doesn't exactly make writing easier. To escape this, as you can imagine, rather uncomfortable situation, here is my brief and therefore undifferentiated critique of „Seelenbrecher“: Brilliant! Breathless suspense from the first to the last page. Layered, thought-provoking, and interactive – and, forgive my personal remark, it's great that a woman also gets a turn for once... Unfortunately, my husband is getting a bit impatient at this point and urges me to finish...
On a personal note, I would like to add this: My husband, of course, did not have a bad childhood or anything like that.
So you can rest assured if the reading takes place at our house (I hope I won't be prevented from attending then...). However, his frustration tolerance is currently a bit, shall we say, lowered. This is probably because we were recently in Berlin and I – yes, I confess my guilt! – lost track of time a bit while shopping, so unfortunately he missed the reading by former TonSteineScherben members on a Berlin steamboat and could only watch it recede from the shore.
Since then, he hasn't been the same – until the release of „Soulbreaker“! Enthusiastic about your book, he has now finally found a way to make amends for me! You can probably guess the solution: read with us and everything will be alright! Hopefully...
Tense greetings
Daniela Andresen
And here you can read the reaction when we notified Daniela Andresen of her win:
Hello Ms. Raschke!
I've just returned refreshed from my vacation on the North Sea and received your message.
After screaming through the house for what felt like half an hour (my cat has hidden somewhere by now and my husband suddenly had an urgent appointment ;-)), I can tell you that I am very happy and the psychopath is to be congratulated on such a good choice 🙂!
Of course, Sebastian Fitzek is most welcome here for a reading!!!
My contact details are as follows:
Daniela Andresen, xxxxxxxxxxxx 31618 Liebenau (nobody knows it... & it lies picturesquely between Bremen and Hanover), Phone: xxxxxxxx.
So, I'm going to chug my valerian bottle now!!!
Many warm regards (also to Mr. Fitzek), hooray & see you soon
Daniela Andresen
By the way, I'll be raffling off a private reading for my next book as well. Whether that's a warning or a threat, you can decide!
